In the novel, Hai Bodong demanded a chair for Medusa and it was depicted that he had great lingering fear from their past. Also, Xiao Yan killed many many more people with the Fallen Heart flame in the yard.

That would take a lot of budget if they animate all of the deaths of those unnecessary characters they rather push it in the fight scene of the boss simplicity is also good and the scene where Medusa gives a tour to her new found little sister in the Miter family like it's a market and how she keeps her attitude not to offend Xiao Yan is a very wise script that suits Medusa who become more like an approachable person than her previous attitude way back in the black corner region.

well novels/donghuas/mangas have the advantage of describing or showing a big crowd in a page or 2 while animation has to bring big budged for crowds to look good over all I'm happy with what were getting this ep save the budged for the 1v1 big fights where all the flashy moves need to look amazing it doesn't need to include all the details in this miner episodes + making reading the source material after finishing the animated series all the more fun

Well, that's for sure. This is the event which wraps up story so far and opens true story. You could as well say that real story begins during that fight. It also marks the end of by far most boring part of the novel (academy)

From there on, story finally moves to the area outside. In rpg terms, MC finally left starting village, it is over with boring fetch quests and enemies are not some random goblins.

Revenge is a dish best served HOTT!. I betcha for a split second Hai Bo Dong actually thought XY and Medusa had a kid together. Even already acting like an old marry couple with the 'if she's in the mood'.

Both the previous and current episodes are a banger. Thought they would start it off slowly building the hype, didn't expect them to just start it off with a banger.

So, our boy got his step 1 revenge completed, while also helping the Miter family. Of course I'd prefer they made the elders suffer more but they're not even part of the meal, just an appetizer aha.

Can't wait for the next episode, the council of some of the prominent families plotting on the Yun Lan bastards. But seems like the 2 main highlights/important parts will be the reveal of XY's teacher Yao Chen to the council, going to be epic watching their reactions!! And then 2nd, watching Medusa get jealous of other women being to friendly with XY, that look she had was scary, bound to be some drama aha.
